Welcome to our Study Skills Wiki

A wiki is a shared, collaborative web space where people from anywhere

in the world can add content and/or edit content that has already been added. It is for many a technology in which knowledge is created by a passionate group for the benefit of all.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.

‘The three most important elements in the strategic plan of athletes are preparation, preparation and preparation.' Jerry Lynch.

Be prepared to learn. Take responsibility for your learning.

Be punctual.

For EVERY lesson you are expected to bring with you;

 • Writing materials and notepad.
 • Colored highlighters for note taking.
 • Your folder with filed workbooks.
 • For practical lessons – appropriate kit.

Your attitude more than your aptitude will determine your altitude.

Always bring a positive attitude to learn to class.

Focus on the positive, what ‘we’ can achieve.

Appreciate strength in others.

Only hand in ‘professional’ assignments that reflect your true ability.

Respect there is always more to learn.

Respect yourself, your classmates, the staff and your learning environment.

Take the time to read your course feedback thoroughly. Respond thoughtfully.

Turn cell phones, iPods, & any other technological tools off before entering the classroom. You must have permission of the instructor before you use any such tool, whether stated or not.

Challenge yourself, find out what you can not yet do. Then go do it.

Mrs. Durff,
Do you mind if I play a little bit with one of the pages? Do you use wikitext to format the pages? I'm used to using wikitext from wikispaces and I'm curious if they are the same???

Go right ahead, that's what collaboration is all about. I jyst type here on the page, is that wikitext? I think wikispaces and PBwiki are a tad different, but mostly in how one adds images. I told mine no moving images. We'll see!
